Each of our hats is a creation unto herself. None is mass produced. We made this beauty as a size 57cm, and can adjust her up or down one size (stretch, shim, respectively). Other sizes, personalized or as-designed, available by special order — let's talk hats!
- Deep Roots, a designer felt hat by the design collective of artisans that is Dominique Cohen.
- Modern cowboy shape, which has a more open, slightly obtuse angle to the crown (see the overhead photo) when compared with our standard cowboy, and a relaxed brim (see next).
- 4 inch brim, artfully and ever so slightly banked upward.
- Made of western weight felt, in chocolate, lightly distressed (by hand, of course).
- Trimmed in succulent green grossgrain ribbon under our double-dyed (by hand, of course) span of moss and robin's egg silk, encircled with a hand-torn, gently twisted length of silk sari ribbon in taupe slip-knot tied along the hat's left side.
- Dressed in 18k rose gold jewelry — a delicate chain at the base of the hat crown; and a trio of round, textural rings held by the sari ribbon along the hat's right side.
- With a majestic conifer subtly accenting her right rear profile.
- Adorned in hand-tooled embroidery, rose gold wire, and felt distressing.
- Leather sweatband branded with "Deep Roots" for daily inspiration (custom phrasing available by special order).

Dominique Cohen is a unique, elite design collective that creates one of a kind and limited edition jewelry, hats, and apparel + the complementary jewelry central to a beautiful, versatile wardrobe.
Each piece is hand-tooled by our expert team of California artisans, whether start to finish or, say with footwear, in the accents that make it stand out from the mass produced.
In Stock. We typically only make one or two of any design at a time. We can ship those "in-stock" items within two business days of receiving your order.
On Demand. To offer clients the greatest design flexibility (diamond hue + gold hue options, for example) + best price, we recreate sold-out designs on-demand: On-demand pieces take 2 to 6 weeks to create and ship.
Price on Request. We're inspired daily by rare stones, cuts, and hues — our forte, designing specifically for them. Such items, once the original has sold, list as price on request due to fluctuations in source material availability.
We process and ship orders Monday through Friday, except national holidays, for Monday through Friday delivery.
